We are now playing Warhammer Online on the Order/Badlands server and World of Warcraft (Alliance/Shadowsong)
The origins of ROC actually come from Dark Age of Camelot (DAOC). We were founded on the Midgard/Lancelot server back in 2001 and have since stayed together as a group of people who enjoy playing MMOs together. In the beginning we were called Rulers of Camelot but being that we then moved to other games that did not incorporate the same lore we changed it to ROC.
We are a group of mature gamers that do not need to be “the elite” although we have quite a few hardcore members that play much more than anyone should. Our main and most important goal is just to have fun. As a philosophy we have a nice mix between hardcore and casual game play and do not focus on just one aspect of a game. We like to enjoy the games we play on a large scale experiencing all the elements of said game.
As a guild we have well over 100 members that are at the moment playing two different games. Those games are Warhammer Online(Order/Badlands) and World of Warcraft(Alliance/Shadowsong). As stated before we have a mature player base that has a very positive attitude towards the games we play. We have many real life couples (husbands & wives) that enjoy playing as a part of ROC. What you will not find in ROC is people that are just playing a game “to win”, all our members understand that these games are about community and thus put forth a “guild first” attitude. Obviously, we have a proven philosophy in that we have been together for the past 7 years.
We do not believe in the revolving door concept that so many guilds seem to use. We believe that when someone becomes a part of ROC that person is tied to the guild forever. For that reason we are very strict about recruiting. We try and make sure that the recruit is a good fit for ROC and that ROC is a good fit for the recruit. Recruiting is a long process but as any of our members will attest it is well worth it.
It has come with much relief being back in a game that prioritizes Realm vs. Realm combat. It really gets guild morale and realm camaraderie bubbling to a boil. We are very excited about Warhammer Online and are looking forward to experiencing the game. Expect to see a lot of Warhammer Online content popping up on our website very soon. |
